A few suggestions to try while in Richmond

RVA has been making waves lately. Saveur magazine and The Daily Meal have called Richmond, Virginia the “next great American food city.” U.S. News & World Report Travel listed RVA as one of “8 Under-the-Radar Foodie Cities” in the world.

West End (near campus):

Downtown:
Places that have put RVA on the map,  Accacia, The Roosevelt, Heritage, Dutch & Co., Comfort, Can Can, Proper Pie, The Black Sheep, Sub Rosa Bakery, Stella's, Pasture, Saison, Rappahannok Oyster Co. Shagbark
The latest craze is rooftop bars and Richmond has some great ones.  Check out the Quirk Hotel, Kabana and others in this guide to rooftop watering holes in RVA. 

Sites to see:
One of Frommers 2014 top destination in the WORLD! There is alot to do in Richmond, like visiting Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden and Maymont or watching the Washington Redskins training camp in the summer. But don't forget the history!
